“I don’t want to protect the environment I want to create a world where the environment doesn’t need protecting” World Environment Day 5th June 2014

The celebration of World Environment Day on 05th June begin in 1973 and has grown to become one of the main vehicles through which the United Nations encourages positive action for the environment.

  • Polluted water is the world's biggest health risk, and continues to threaten both quality of life and public health.
  • About 400 million metric tons of hazardous wastes are generated each year.
  • Due to human activities like burning of fossil fuels such as gasoline and natural gas which generates Carbon dioxide, a greenhouse gas, is the main pollutant that is warming Earth. Adverse air quality can kill many organisms including humans.
  • According to the UN Food and Agriculture Organization (FAO), every year 1.3 billion tons of food is wasted.
Any impact on the environment is directly affecting the health and safety of an individual by inviting dangerous diseases, reducing the life cycle and contaminating the natural resources. If you want to save the environment, learn more about the evolving courses at NIST such as NEBOSH IGC, IOSH MS, and British Safety Council courses which will help you to be a responsible citizen as well as an efficient employee.
Join hands with NIST to Protect Our Environment with appropriate knowledge and celebrate this environmental day with meaningful progression.
